JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:Penn State Mont Alto is searching for a Maintenance Worker (General) B to join their team. Duties include:
Operate tractors and power mowers; cut grass and weeds; trim lawns
Plant and transplant, prune, spray, cultivate trees, grass, shrubbery, flowerbeds, etc.; fertilize and seed lawns as required
Rake and remove leaves, paper and other debris from lawns, parking lots and roadways
Remove snow and ice as directed; spread cinders, sawdust and chemical ice and snow removers on walks and roads; operate large and small snow plows and blowers
Perform routine maintenance on trucks, tractors and other gasoline driven equipment, including minor adjustment, lubrication, oil changing, etc.; sharpen lawn mower blades
Assist Maintenance Mechanic and Heating and Ventilation Mechanic in general mechanical and building maintenance as required
Load and unload trucks; check shipments received against delivery slips for accuracy; place shipment in designated storage areas
Assist in setting up rooms for various functions as directed
Spray trees, shrubbery and lawn with general and restricted pesticides and herbicides as needed
Clean catch basins, drainage ditches, piping, manholes, etc.; remove debris and make minor repairs
Erect athletic equipment such as nets, backstops, goal posts, scoreboards, etc.
Maintain campus compost pile
Work Schedule: 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Days Off: Saturday and Sunday
Job Requirements: Requires the use of simple writing, adding, subtracting, whole numbers and the carrying out of instructions; and the use of fixed gauges and direct reading instruments and devices in which interpretation is not required. Must possess Pennsylvania Certified Applicator License Category 6, 7, or 23. 6 to 9 months of effective experience.
NOTE: THIS POSITION REQUIRES THAT YOU OPERATE A MOTOR VEHICLE AS A PART OF YOUR JOB DUTIES. A VALID DRIVER`S LICENSE AND SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF A MOTOR VEHICLE RECORDS CHECK WILL BE REQUIRED IN ADDITION TO STANDARD BACKGROUND CHECKS. NOTE: EMPLOYEE MUST BE ABLE TO WEAR A RESPIRATOR AND WILL BE SUBJECT TO MEDICAL CLEARANCE.

In other words, a 1220 places you below average, while a 1380 will move you up to above average. There's no absolute SAT requirement at Penn State, but they really want to see at least a 1220 to have a chance at being considered.
Penn state mont alto is a great college. It's pretty quiet, yet very beautiful. The professors are dedicated to teaching students to get them where they need to be to succeed. Some of the scheduling can be a bit much for students who work and partake in athletics.
Mont Alto Hall is a traditional residence hall with two students per room and community bathrooms on each wing. The building features a large lobby with a modern community kitchen and lounge for studying or relaxing. A game room and study rooms are also conveniently available in the building.
This means the school is moderately selective. The school expects you to meet their requirements for GPA and SAT/ACT scores, but they're more flexible than other schools. If you exceed their requirements, you have an excellent chance of getting in.
Penn will not require applicants to submit the SAT or ACT for the 2024-25 application cycle. This applies to all first-year, domestic, international, homeschooled, transfer, and QuestBridge applicants. Applicants who do not submit SAT or ACT scores will not be at a disadvantage in the admissions process.

Only a few schools require the SAT or ACT, but many consider your scores if you choose to submit them. Pennsylvania College of Technology hasn't explicitly named a policy on SAT/ACT requirements, but because it's published average SAT or ACT scores (we'll cover this next), it's likely test flexible.
