Newton - Attorney Jason Rosenberg passed away peacefully on June 29, 2024 after a long and beautiful life. He had resided in the past in North Andover, Andover Amesbury, and in his current home in Newton.Jason was pre-deceased by his beloved parents, Sarah and David Rosenberg as well as his three dear brothers Merrill, Pinky and Shyer. He was married for 54 years to his beautiful wife Hermie whose passing 18 years ago left him lost and alone. With the loving support and dedication of his children Rhonda, Beth and David he lived an incredible life until his passing.His grandchildren, Sarah, Jake, Jesse, Zachary, Molly, and Avery were the light of his life. He was so proud of each of them and cherished hearing about their accomplishments. His wonderful nephew, Neil and his wife Lisa along with their children Chad and Kayla gave him great pleasure and kept him connected to his brothers. His daughter-in-law, Joan was loving and supportive throughout his life. His dog grandchildren, Ziggy, Martin, Harry, and Franklin delighted him with their personalities and never ending kisses.Jason graduated Lawrence High School in 1946 and subsequently obtained his BA degree from Duquesne University and his law degree from Boston University. He was a dedicated and respected bankruptcy attorney in the Greater Lawrence area for 56 years and was a member of the Lawrence Bar Association, Mass Bar Association, and Federal Bar Association. He reminisced fondly about sharing a practice with his brother Merrill and his much loved son-in-law Jeffrey Kitaeff, and was ecstatic when his granddaughter Sara followed in his footsteps.Daddy, Papee, Jason was a quiet and solitary man who adored life. For him the best part of living was his adoration of tradition and his wonderful family. Grief is the reminder that love has been present and we are eternally grateful for his never-ending love he will be missed forever.Services at Temple Emanuel 7 Haggetts Pond Road, Andover on Wednesday, July 3 at 11:00 AM. Groveland - Sandra J. (Faxon) Carleton, 80, of Groveland, passed away on Thursday, June 27, 2024, at Portsmouth Regional Hospital.She was born in Haverhill on June 10, 1944, daughter of the late George E. "Ernie" and Elenor (Campbell) Faxon.Mrs. Carleton was educated in the Haverhill School System and graduated from Haverhill High School with the Class of 1962. She worked for over 50 years as a Dental Assistant until her retirement.She enjoyed traveling for many years to Europe and Bar Harbor, camping in her fifth wheel, as well as visiting cousins in Canada to make maple syrup. She enjoyed designing her home from tips she learned watching HGTV.Mrs. Carleton is predeceased by her loving husband, former Groveland Fire Chief John F. Carleton, and sister Suzanne Elizabeth Swartz, and a great nephew Matthew "Mattie" Uliano.She is survived by her son Stephen P. Baker and his wife Michele of Manchester, NH, brother David E. Haverhill - Robert "Bob" Edgar Barney, a beloved member of the community, passed away on June 24, 2024 at the age of eighty-six. Bob was born in St. Johnsbury, VT on January 25, 1938 to Elmer O. and Evelyn M. (Wilfore) Barney. His life was characterized by dedication, service, and a passion for nature and animals. From his early days in North Danville, to his years of service in the Navy and his long-standing career at Raytheon, Bob left a lasting impact on all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Bob's journey began in the small town of North Danville, where he spent most of his youth. His formative years culminated in his graduation from North Danville High School in 1955. Following his graduation, Bob made a significant decision to join the Navy, where he served on aircraft carriers as a Seaman First Class. This period not only shaped his character but also instilled in him a strong sense of duty and responsibility. After his military service, Bob embarked on a successful career at Raytheon Company, where he dedicated 53 years of service. His commitment to excellence and continuous learning led him to pursue further education at Lowell Tech while working full-time. Throughout his career, Bob's work took him to various corners of the globe, including Thailand, the Netherlands, and Lowell, where he made valuable contributions to the field of technology. Beyond his professional endeavors, Bob had a deep passion for Japanese Gardens and spent his free time creating tranquil and harmonious spaces. His love for animals extended to volunteering at the MSPCA shelter, where he selflessly donated his time and energy to care for animals in need. He was active in masonry for 27 years and was Past Master of Merrimack Lodge F. & A.M. Bob loved spending time in New Hampshire and his home state of Vermont. He was also an active member of St. James Episcopal Church in Groveland. Bob's family was at the center of his world, and he cherished his relationships with his loved ones, which included attending many sporting events and dance recitals with his grandchildren.He is survived by his wife, Marianne Barney of Bradford, MA, children from his first marriage, Michael (Sheryl) Barney of Harwinton, CT, and Susan (Matthew) Peters of Raymond, NH. Additionally, his stepchildren, Lorraine Carboni of Lakeville, MA, Steven N. Cassotis of Raleigh, NC, and Stephanie (Eric) Messina of Chester, NH. Grandchildren, Molly and Jack Barney, Casey Peters, Cory-Robert and Kendelle Carboni, Steven (Olivia) Cassotis and great-grandson Koen Carboni, all of whom were constant source of happiness and fulfillment for Bob. Also, his sister Mary (Jan) Hatch of Gardner, MA and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents and brother Elmer O. Barney, Jr. In conclusion, Robert Edger Barney's life was a testament to the value of dedication, service, and love. His legacy lives on through the memories shared by his family, friends, and community. Atkinson - Edith L. (Severance) Price, 89, a resident of Atkinson for the past sixty-three years, died June 25, 2024, at Lawrence General Hospital.Born in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, Edith was the daughter of the late Vernon and Mabel (Rogers) Severance. She was raised and educated in Lunenburg and graduated from Lunenburg High School with the Class of 1952. She went on to attend Forsythe Dental School and worked as a dental hygienist for local dentists. After moving to this area, she worked for many years for Dr. Wheeler in his Newburyport dental practice and retired in 1990.A member of the Atkinson Congregational Church, Mrs. Price was also active with the Helping Hands Association of the parish. In her younger years she enjoyed skiing and vacations in Maine with her husband and children. She had a great appreciation for antiques, collecting all sorts during her life, proudly displaying them in her home. She also was gifted in making replicas of antique toys.Predeceased in 2006 by her beloved husband Roy L. Price, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by a daughter, Pam E. Price and a son, Peter L. Price, both of Atkinson, and several nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by a sister Evelyn S. Methuen - Leslie Ellen Fox, 75, of Methuen, MA, peacefully passed away at her home on Monday, July 1, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 2, 1949, and was the daughter of the late Leo E. and Henrietta A. (Martel) Goodrich.Born and raised in Lawrence, MA, Leslie moved to Methuen in 1969, where she raised her family. She was a dedicated employee of Berberian and Associates for over 30 years prior to her retirement. She was also a former employee of Malden Mills in Lawrence for many years. Leslie loved to travel with her beloved husband Steven, where they enjoyed many vacations around the globe. In her free time, she loved to read and spend time with her beloved dog, R2.Along with her parents, Leslie is pre-deceased by her brother, Keith Dion.Leslie will be dearly missed and is survived by her beloved husband, Steven Fox; her loving children, Danielle Dube and her fiancé Michael Williams, Kim Corsaro-Raye and her husband James Raye, David Fox and his daughter Jaime, Adam Fox and his wife Lisa, and Missy Pinard and her husband Stephen. Atkinson - Michael Wayne Pittera passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 29, at the age of 64, at Fairview Nursing Home in Hudson, NH.Michael was born January 15, 1960, in Methuen, Massachusetts to Sebastian (John) Pittera, and Lucy (Bonanno) Pittera. A graduate of Methuen High School, he went on to take over the family upholstery business, Town and Country Auto Seat Covers, in Lawrence, Massachusetts.Michael excelled at wrestling and was a Mass State Champion when he was a senior in high school. In later years he enjoyed waterskiing, snowmobiling, watching the New England Patriots, enjoyed being on the lake and excelled at everything he did. His main joy in life, however, were his two children, and three grandchildren.Michael was predeceased by his beloved parents. He is survived by his children, Chad and Alyssa, his grandchildren; Hailey, Isabelle, and Colby, his sister Karen, his niece and nephews, and his dear childhood friend Bill.A private celebration of life will be held for family members.

Biddeford - Sister Bertha Agnes Provencher, p.m. (Marguerite-du-Rosaire) of the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary, died at the age of 107 at St. Joseph Convent in Biddeford, Maine on June 24, 2024. She was born in Manchester, New Hampshire on December 24, 1916, the 5TH of eight children of the late Alphonse and Amanda (Bourque) Provencher. She professed vows as a Sister of the Presentation of Mary on July 31, 1935. Sr. Marguerite, as she was known in community, taught 1st grade for many years and she also worked in the infirmary assisting in the care of the sick and elderly sisters. She was predeceased by her parents and all of her siblings. She is survived by several nieces, nephews, grand-nieces/nephews and great grand-nieces/nephews. A private Mass of Christian Burial for the Sisters and family only will be celebrated at St. Joseph Convent in Biddeford, Maine on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 followed by a private burial at St. Joseph Cemetery in Biddeford, Maine. Wellington - Harold Moldoff, 92, of Wellington, Florida, and formerly of Rye Beach, New Hampshire, passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at Good Samaritan Hospital in West Palm Beach, Florida. Harold was preceded in death by his daughter, Joy Krimowski, in 2013. "Edie" Lavoie, 86, a former longtime resident of Haverhill, MA, and East Hampstead, NH, died Monday, July 1, 2024, at High Pointe Hospice House.Born, raised and educated in Haverhill, she was the daughter of the late Joseph L.N. and Cecile (German) Lavoie. She graduated from Haverhill High School and Chandler Secretarial School in Boston.Edie first worked at the Community Chest and later was employed as a secretary and administrative assistant at AVCO, Wang Laboratories and Aramark. She was a member of All Saints Parish and the former Saint Joseph Parish of Haverhill.An avid skier, she was a longtime member of the Laurentian Ski Club and enjoyed playing tennis at Cedardale Health and Athletic Club. She organized and played in the golf league while at AVCO. She took great pleasure in traveling extensively the world over, especially some memorable trips to Europe and Alaska.Edie will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by two sisters and brothers-in-law, Agnes "Gigs" and Robert Rousseau of Amesbury and Albina "Bina" and Gary Beauregard, of Amesbury; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her brothers, Joseph L.N. Lavoie, Jr., and Robert H. Methuen - Pamela Koscielniak passed away peacefully surrounded by family members on June 29, 2024, after a long illness. She is now dancing with her beloved husband of 43 years, Edwin Koscielniak, in heaven.Pamela is survived by her daughter Joy Berg and her husband Robert, daughter Susan Evans and her partner Jeff Evans, daughter Cynthia Zorn and her husband Daniel, son James Koscielniak and his wife Catherine. In addition, she leaves behind 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Pamela was predeceased by her sisters, Linda Joy and Kathryn Alaimo.Pamela was born in Lawrence to Joan and Frederick Joy and lived locally all her life. She had a long and successful career in credit and collections for many local companies in addition to raising her children. After she retired, she spent many years volunteering for local charities, such as the Haverhill Garden Club, the Haverhill Library, the Peoples Pantry, Community Action, and the North Andover Thrift Store.Pamela very much enjoyed spending time with her family, was an avid gardener and was known for stopping at every yard sale she passed by. Haverhill - Eleanor L. (Flynn) Blinn, 101, a native and lifelong resident of Haverhill, died peacefully Sunday, June 30, 2024, at Port Healthcare Center in Newburyport, surrounded by her loving family.She was the daughter of the late Albert and Helen (Racine) Flynn, and was educated in the Haverhill School System, graduating from Haverhill High School with the Class of 1941. She went on to attend MacIntosh Business School. In 1944, Eleanor enlisted in the U.S. Navy WAVES, and was stationed at Norfolk, VA and Atlanta, GA, serving as a Seaman Second Class/Specialist Teacher.In October of 1945, Eleanor married Louis J. Blinn, and raised three children in their home in Haverhill. Eleanor and Louis enjoyed fifty-four years of marriage until his death in 1999.As a young woman Mrs. Blinn was employed at Western Electric Co. and later for twenty years as a tax examiner at the Internal Revenue Service, retiring in 1984.Eleanor was a member of All Saints Parish of Haverhill and the former Saint Joseph Parish, the American Legion Women's Post #417 of Methuen, WAVES National, the Haverhill Women's City Club, and the Andover Service Center Retiree Association. She volunteered her time by visiting veterans and was recently honored with a Veteran's Service Award by Haverhill Rotary Club.Eleanor and Louis enjoyed traveling to many places, including Europe and Hawaii, and after their retirement they spent winters in Barefoot Bay, Florida. Eleanor enjoyed reading, dancing, knitting, and listening to books on tape. Haverhill - Lorraine E. Bilodeau, 83, of Haverhill passed away June 28, 2024 at her residence with her loving family by her side.She was born in Haverhill on October 6, 1940, daughter of the late Herbert and Lena (St. Laurent) Zangari.Lorraine was a graduate of Haverhill High School with the Class of 1958.She was a teacher's assistant at the John Greenleaf Whittier School in the Headstart program. She also worked at One Hour Martinizing Cleaners in Plaistow, NH for several years.She was the President of the Women's Group at the Second Baptist Church, Haverhill, MA where her husband Donald was the Pastor for many years.She taught and enjoyed ceramics along with doing many fairs throughout the city.She enjoyed cooking, playing whist, bingo and spending time with her family.She was the wife of the late Rev. Donald W. Bilodeau, who passed away in 2018, mother of the late Ronald L. Daignault, who passed in 2013, Donald P. Lawrence - Robert Allen Bobek, known to his loved ones as Bobby, passed away on June 15, 2024, in Lawrence, MA, at the age of 71.Bob loved cycling, spending time with dogs, relaxing at the beach, listening to the classic rock of his teenage years and immersing himself in mystery and science fiction books as a voracious reader. He was known for a wicked sense of humor and passed along his staunchly progressive political views to his children.Bob was a dedicated, caring, and brilliant person who committed over 30 years of his life to his career at UMass Boston. His passion and hard work left a lasting impact on thousands of young scholars he supported in their studies.Bob will always be remembered for his funny, smart, and resilient nature. Naples - JoAnne P. Spencer, a long-time resident of Naples, FL, passed away peacefully with family by her side after a courageous nine-year battle with metastatic breast cancer on June 10, 2024. Despite the years of ongoing cancer treatment, she maintained her resolve, along with her warmth and smile, largely because she wanted to continue to be present in the lives of her loved ones and to enrich the life of anyone whom she met.JoAnne was born on March 23, 1947 to Rocco and Philomena D'Amato in Haverhill, MA.She graduated from Lesley College (now Lesley University) in 1969 and immediately began her career in the 1970's as an elementary school teacher in Massachusetts. The lessons she not only taught the students, but more importantly that she learned as a person during those years, she would later credit with much of her success in business and in life.Upon moving to Naples, FL with her previous husband, David Spencer, and after the birth of her only child, Eric, in 1979, she spent the first five years at home raising him. Once Eric began elementary school, JoAnne officially embarked on her real estate career as realtor at John R. Wood Realtors, where she would thrive for the next two decades. She infused her kindness and genuine interest in others into her role. So many of her clients from all over the world became close friends, and she was so proud of the level of success she achieved, but not nearly as proud as she was that she had positively impacted couples and families—as they built houses into homes and raised families.Even though JoAnne retired from working in real estate full-time in the early 2000's, she was far from done with being active and having an impact in the community. She volunteered for thousands of hours and for over a decade in the Cardiology department of the Naples Community Hospital (now Naples Comprehensive Health), where she was adored by the medical staff and patients.She was beloved by many because she was kind to everyone, remained humble, and showed genuine interest in their lives. She could make a family member feel like the most important person in the world, a friend feel like a close family member, and she could turn a complete stranger into almost an old friend in the span of minutes. And if there was a baby within a one-mile radius, you could bet that JoAnne was trying to make them smile and the mother feel special at the same time.She loved spending quality time with family and friends, long walks along the beautiful Naples beaches, and seemingly all entertainment related to the British monarchy. An avid reader, you could always find JoAnne at home no more than a few feet from her latest read (and often several at once). She always kept a calm, composed demeanor, except when the New England Patriots or Duke University's basketball team were playing important games—in which case she would nervously sit on the edge of her seat, the passion for those teams coursing through her veins, as she willed them to victory.Church attendance and aiding the church's ministries were always a priority in her life. Methuen - William N. "Billy" Blouin, 73, of Methuen, MA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at Andover Manor, surrounded by those he loved. He was the husband of Paula A. (McCarthy) Blouin, with whom he shared 50 wonderful years in marriage.Born and raised in Lawrence, MA, son of the late William J. and Marie L. (Hale) Blouin, William was a graduate of Central Catholic High School. He later received an associate degree from Northern Essex Community College. He was employed at Borden OPP plant in North Andover for over 20 years. He worked as the head of security at Northern Essex Community College and later at Pfizer in the security department until his retirement.In 1973, Billy and Paula were married and settled in Lawrence, where they raised their family. For William, family was everything, and he always made sure they knew they were at the top of his priority.An avid sports fan, Billy was a dedicated fan of the Notre Dame football team as well as all the New England sports teams. For many years, he was a coach for local youth basketball, Softball, and football teams. He enjoyed a good game of tennis and spending time on the golf course whenever possible.He will be remembered for his skills on the grill, most remembered for his "Billy Burgers". She was born on September 26, 1928, in New York City, NY, the daughter of the late Samuel and Victoria Levine. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard J. Yashek. Rosalye is survived by her daughters Linda Yashek Hughes and her husband Robert C. Hughes and Kimberly Yashek Lockhart, widow of J. Douglas Lockhart, as well as her grandchildren Samantha E Hughes, Robert J. Hughes, and Lauren M. Hughes.Rosalye attended Kutztown High School and later pursued higher education at Kutztown University. She began her career as a librarian in Montoursville, PA, and later served as the librarian at Pequea Valley High School in Kinzers, PA, from 1963 to 1979, leaving a lasting impact before retiring.Rosalye was beloved by her friends and family. Andover - Mrs. Antoinette E. (DeVellis) Lord, a longtime resident of Andover, Massachusetts, beloved wife of Robert H. Lord and mother of Robert M. Lord and his wife Laura, and loving sister of Thomas DeVellis and his wife Patricia, passed away on Monday, June 17, 2024. She was 78 years old.Born in Somerville, Massachusetts on May 23, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Balzano) DeVellis. Annette was the first member of her family to go to college, graduating from Boston State College and later earning her master's degree in education from Lesley College.Her dedication to education was a lifelong commitment, teaching for more than two decades at Bancroft Elementary School in Andover and prior to that the Morse School in Cambridge. Known for her firm yet compassionate approach, Annette touched the lives of countless students throughout her career and left a lasting impact on all who learned from her.Along with teaching her students, raising her son Bobby, and making sure that there was never a single piece of dirty laundry in the hamper or so much as a lone fingerprint on the refrigerator, principal among Annette's many joys was traveling with her family. In 1988, she brought her mother to Naples, Italy, which marked the first time Mary had been back to her native country since emigrating to the United States in 1933 as a 12-year-old.In the later years of her life, Annette, her husband, son, daughter-in-law, brother, and sister-in-law spent a substantial amount of time traveling in Europe, the United States, and Mexico, visiting the places she had always dreamed of as a child.On these trips, she never hesitated to demand that the hotel be moved a bit to the left or the right, depending on conditions at the time. She holds an unofficial record for successful replacement requests from hotel and property management, including four refrigerators, dozens of lamps, pillows, linens, and dishes, and countless hair dryers.She was a deeply loving mother to her son, and this devotion extended to Laura, whom she regarded as her own daughter. Annette was fond of saying to Bobby and Laura that "what's mine is mine, what's yours is yours, and what's Daddy's is ours."Her dedication to her son was such that she successfully completed overdubbing handclaps on a track for one of Bobby's musical groups, hitting beats 2 and 4 effortlessly throughout the piece. Her husband, unable to do so, was summarily fired from the recording session.Besides her beloved husband, son, daughter-in-law, brother, and sister-in-law, she is survived by her sister Cecelia Hender and nephew Jeffrey Hender, his wife Christine, and her great-niece Adeline. N. Andover - Nancy Daniels died after a quiet period of hospice in N. Andover.She was the proud mother of four children, predeceased by her husband of 40 years, Atty. Born in Haverhill on March 28, 1955, he was the son of the late Henry W. and Dorothy L (German) Goulet. Bob was educated in Haverhill and graduated from Haverhill Trade School, Class of 1973. Early in his career Bob worked as a pipe fitter at Foss Manufacturing before joining his father as an apprentice plumber. Bob worked 45 years as a Master Plumber serving families and business accounts in Haverhill and Southern NH before he retired in January of 2024.Bob attended Rock Church where he and his wife sang in the choir. He enjoyed lighthouses, seacoast views, and beaches. He also enjoyed hiking in the White Mountains and going out dancing with friends and family. His favorite music was Christian and smooth Jazz. Bob was a friend to all, a great listener, and always offered sound advice. Bob had a strong devotion to God. "Jack" Davis, 62, husband of Patricia Jardine, of Groveland passed away on Tuesday, June 18 at the Boston Medical Center.Jack was born in Somerville the son of John Davis and Anne Marie (Burns) Collis. He was a graduate of Pentucket Regional High School and then joined the Navy, after which he went on to study nursing at Northern Essex Community College. He proudly served in the US Navy from 1980 until 1984 during the Iranian Hostage Crisis. He served aboard the USS Coral Sea CV-43, receiving the Navy Expeditionary Medal and Sea Service Deployment Ribbon with Star. Jack was proud of his role as a hostage negotiator for the United States Government during his long career. He worked as a Registered Nurse for many years, eventually rising to the Nurse Manager position in the forensic psychiatric unit of the Federal Medical Center at Fort Devens from which he retired. In his younger days, Jack liked riding skimobiles and motorcycles. He was passionate about his vintage Rambler convertible and loved spending time driving around with the top down playing Oldies music. Jack also enjoyed spending time with his friends, fishing, and enjoyed boating on his boat the "Iona" and going to their home in Florida.Jack is survived by his wife Patricia Jardine of Groveland, his daughter Angela Davis of Rochester, NH, his son Michael W. Previously, she was employed as an operator at New England Telephone Company.She was a faithful and active member of First Baptist Church in Haverhill for 83 years; and for 31 of those years, she was dedicated to delivering the Sunday Service flowers to shut-ins and church members unable to attend services. She bowled for many years in ladies' leagues. She was an avid reader and loved music, gardening, and her church. Most recently, playing scrabble with family was her favorite pastime. She leaves four daughters: Sharon Bradley of Thornton, NH, Cheryl Perkins of Exeter, NH, Daryl Perkins, and Carolyn Perkins, both of Amesbury. She was blessed with five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Kurek, 62 of Salem, NH, passed away Monday morning at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston, MA, following complications from surgery.Steve was born in Lawrence, MA to the late Alfred Kurek and Mary Uzalinski. She was employed at the former Lucent Technologies for many years until her retirement in 1996.She was a longtime member of the First Church of Christ in Bradford. Lawrence - Marilyn Claire (Schneider) Kopacz has been reunited with her high school sweetheart, Raymond, passing peacefully on Sunday, June 16, at High Pointe House in Haverhill.Born in Lawrence to Herman A. and Mary (Kelly) Schneider, she was proud of her ethnic heritage and enjoyed being a part of the American Turners Association. She was a 90-year resident of Lawrence: attended Grace Episcopal Church until her conversion in 1948; graduated Lawrence High School and became a young bride that same year; was a faithful and active parishioner of the former Holy Trinity/Corpus Christi where for decades she sang in the choir, and volunteered as a Girl Scout leader as well as at the Feast of the Three Saints.She was close with her seven children, AnnMarie Meile of NJ; Jacquie (Dow) Chamberlain of MA, her primary companion for 40 years, Cathe Sambataro (Johnne) of FL; Ramona Kopacz (James) of NJ, Andrew of FL, Mark (Renae) of IL; and Richard (Rhonda) of MA, with whom she and Jacquie resided the last four years. She is also survived by sister-in-law, Roberta (Gamble) Schneider of NH. She lovingly took on the role of a second parent to Jacquie's son, Lancelot. He and her 23 other grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, (and counting), one great-great-grandson, and many nieces and nephews will miss their warm and funny Nana K/Aunt Bunny.Marilyn was proud of her family and actively attended sporting events, concerts, and religious ceremonies. Danville - On Saturday, June 15th, James (Jim, Jimmy) Cameron, 82, of Danville, NH, passed away from complications after a fall. He had been ill the previous few months as well, and his family would like to thank all of his doctors and various other caregivers from Elliot Hospital, Dartmouth Hitchco*ck, and Catholic Medical in Manchester, NH, as well as Parkland Medical in Derry NH, and the EMT services in Danville, NH. Their kindness and compassion did not go unnoticed and we are grateful to them all. Jim was born in Lowell, MA, in 1941, to Kenneth and Rosalie Cameron. He was raised in Lowell, attending Lowell High School, where he first began playing the saxophone. Jim briefly spent time at Boston College and Rhode Island School of Design before earning his degree from St. Anselm's College, in Manchester, NH, where he met his wife, Elizabeth. They were married in 1968 and raised three children, Jaimie, Heather, and Lonnae.Jim began playing the saxophone professionally in 1958, and although he consideredhimself a self-taught player, he studied briefly with Lee Konitz and Jackie McLean. Heperformed with Lou Donaldson, Jimmy Garrison, 'Papa' Joe Jones, Phil Woods, Buddy Tate, Red Holloway, Teddy Kotick, and Clark Terry. During the '70s and '80s, Jim was prominent on the Boston jazz scene as a member of the Bunny Smith Quartet, playingall the major and not-so-major Boston jazz clubs and the Boston Globe Jazz Festival. In the 80's Jim toured the US and Canada with blues legends Katie Webster and Mighty Sam McLaine, and can be heard on several CDs from such labels as Brownstone, GM, and Sea Breeze. Jim performed at jazz clubs, concerts, and festivals around the world, including England, France, Portugal, Vancouver, and Japan.Until recently, he divided his time playing in three big bands, two nonets, a sextet, and various smaller jazz ensembles in the New England area.When he wasn't playing the sax, he was oftenfound at home doing yardwork in one of his beautiful gardens. Jim and his wife, Elizabeth were avid gardeners, and at one point both were NH master gardeners.He loved animals and spent decades adopting retired racing greyhounds until he ended up with one tiny Dachshund, Teddy, who is still waiting for his return. Jim enjoyed many forms of art and returned to painting in various styles repeatedly during his life. Jim could be a quiet man in large groups, but amongst friends and family was often quite the ham. Nothing made him happier than making his children laugh and the daily 5 p.m. family dinner was often a loud and rowdy affair with terrible jokes and lots of hilarity. He was a true friend and left behind many close relationships, some going back almost 70 years. Jim was a beautiful man and artist and will be missed in many ways. Salem - Vincent "Vinny" P. Gedaminsky of Salem, NH, 75, entered into eternal rest on June 16, 2024.Vinny was born in Cambridge MA to the late Anthony and Edwinda (Lewko) Gedaminsky. Portland - Marilyn Griffith (Greco), 91, of Blue Hill, ME (formerly of North Andover, MA) passed away April 1st, 2024 in Portland, ME.She was born January 22, 1933 in Hartford, CT, the daughter of the late Joseph Greco, and the late Josephine (Barbagallo) Greco. She was widowed at a young age and worked hard to support and raise her three children, who were very young at the time. She never remarried.She loved her family very much. She loved to cook for family and friends. Chapman, Jr. 72, a resident of Haverhill all of his life, died at his home peacefully, on Monday, June 17, 2024.Born and raised in Haverhill, son of the late Thomas R. and Mae (Burke) Chapman, he was a e member of Saint James High School, Class of 1969. He went on to receive his Bachelor of Science degree from the College of Saint Anselm and later his Master's Degree in Accounting from Bentley University.Tom worked as an accountant for a Boston Company but most of his work life was dedicated to Lawrence General Hospital. Working first as an orderly in the Operating Room, he had a forty-year career as a Respiratory Therapist before retiring.Tom had an eclectic abundance of interests in his life, history being his favorite. He could recall factual information on subjects ranging from politics, American, British, ancient and medieval history, psychology and baseball, as well as obscure subjects such as old movies, early television programs, commercials and musicals of the 1940's. He possessed a unique sense of humor and enjoyed cooking and following the Patriots and the Red Sox. He depended on his Kindle to maintain his voracious reading on all subjects including novels, and true to his Massachusetts roots, considered politics a contact sport!Predeceased in 2019 by his loving wife, Diane (Fournier) Chapman, and by his son Benjamin T. Rockport - Isobel Jane Webster (Milne) Baade, 93, of Rockport, died at home on Sunday, May 5, 2024.She was born February 13, 1931, to James Milne and Anne (Smith) Milne in Auchenblae, Scotland.Isobel attended the Northern Counties Training College for Domestic Science and Cookery and went on to teach domestic science to children with disabilities.She met Eric Crull Baade while on vacation in Rome, Italy. They married July 21, 1956, and had two children, David and Anne.She was proficient in needle crafts and had a special interest in quilting. Isobel made over one hundred quilts before becoming legally blind. She supported many institutions and volunteered at several.Isobel is survived by her sister, Anne Nicholson, her daughter, Anne Baade, her son-in-law, Ronald Tanner, and her grandchildren, Isobel Tanner and Maxwell Tanner, as well as her nieces, nephews and extended family.A Celebration of Life will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Rockport. Kingston - Kingston, NH: Lawrence A. "Joe" Buswell, 85, a resident of Kingston (formerly of Plaistow), died Sunday, June 16, 2024, at Exeter Hospital, after a brief illness.Born and raised in East Kingston, he was the son of the late Ralph and Etta (Webster) Buswell. He graduated from Sanborn Seminary with the Class of 1956 and attended Plymouth State College.Mr. Buswell attended Barber school and in 1961 purchased Joe's Barber Shop on Main Street in Plaistow. He was fondly referred to as "Joe the Barber" by many over the forty-four years he owned the business. He was known to occasionally perform a few magic or card tricks for customers. In 1977 he, his wife, Gertrude and sister-in-law, Penny Southwick purchased lakefront property in Kingston and over the years built and operated Country Shore Camping Area. Joe spent many hours on his John Deere tractor working at the campground with a big smile and a wave to everyone who passed by.He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Plaistow and former member of the Plaistow Lions Club. He was a 70- year member of the Wingold Grange of East Kingston. He also served on the Plaistow Volunteer Fire Department for many years and as a deputy of Co.2 for several years. Some will recall him running from the Barber Shop to the old firehouse if there was a call during the day.A devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, he most enjoyed the times he spent with his large family including his wife, three children, eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. When his family was young, they spent the summers enjoying life on the lake including boating, swimming, water skiing and hosting cookouts for family and friends. In later years, he and his wife traveled the country in their motorhome and spent their winter months in Largo Florida enjoying golf, he even scored a hole-in-one. Joe was quite a card and cribbage shark, quiet but crafty and strategic. He enjoyed reading and playing free-cell solitaire of which, he had a hefty win total.Mr. Buswell was predeceased in 2017 by his loving wife of fifty-nine years, Gertrude (Southwick) Buswell. They were high school sweethearts, met when they were 16, married at 21 and had 3 children within 4 years. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his son, Lawrence A. "Larry" Buswell, Jr. of Kingston, two daughters Lori A. Haverhill - Dr. Peter L. Manis, 83, loving husband of Karen (Beck) Manis, passed away on Tuesday, June 18 at the West Roxbury VA Medical Center.Peter was born in Haverhill on February 11, 1941. He was the son of George and Irene (Morrissette) Manis. He was a graduate of Central Catholic High School, studied at St. Michaels College and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Dental School for Orthodontics. Peter went on to serve in the US Army from 1966 to 1968, then returned to Haverhill where he practiced orthodontics for 46 years.Peter was a brilliant man of many talents; he was always busy, a talented carpenter and builder, with a passion for cars, trucks and golf. He enjoyed teaching at Tufts University and served on Haverhill City Council. Peter was dedicated to his family, a devoted husband, father and grandfather.Peter is survived by his wife Karen (Beck) Manis, his sons Garrett Manis of Haverhill, Parker Manis and his wife Adrienne of Beverly, and daughter Devon Huberdeau and her husband Adam of Groveland. Haverhill - Raymond F. Galinsky died peacefully with his wife and family by his side on June 18, 2024. He was a lifelong resident of Haverhill, son of Frank and Sarah (Antkowiak) Galinsky.Ray graduated from Haverhill High School, class of 1955. He was a Korean War Veteran in the United States Air Force where he was a crew chief on a B25 aircraft on flying status stationed at Kirtland Air Force Base in Albuquerque, NM.He went on to receive his associates in fire science from North Shore Community College. He retired as a lieutenant and EMT from the Haverhill Fire Department after 40 years of service. Ray was badly burnt in on February 7, 1988 while searching for children on the second floor of a building fire. He was honored at the Haverhill Stadium on July 4, 1988 for his outstanding courage and heroism.Ray was a member of St. James Parish and the St. James Holy Name, AMVETS Post 147, Local 1011 of the Massachusetts Professional Firefighter Union, The Haverhill Firemen's Relief Association, The Haverhill Fire Department Credit Union.Ray is survived by his devoted wife of nearly 65 years, Nancy T. Lawrence - A self described independent spirit who shunned the limelight, Bill had an adventurous soul which saw him drive cross country as a young man long before GPS' and Google Maps ever existed with only a Rand-McNally atlas and a sense of adventure. He also hitchhiked his way across the USA with his backpack on his back on a few occasions. WIlliam Daniel Geary, 65, of Lawrence, passed away Friday, June 14, 2024.Bill was born in Lawrence in 1959 to Daniel Edward Geary and Mary (Bettencourt) Geary. Bill attended Lawrence Public Schools including the Essex Street School, Bruce School, and Oliver Jr High School. Bill graduated from Lawrence High School in 1977. While attending public schools, Bill played CYO basketball for St. Augustine's in Tower Hill, Lawrence. Several years later, he returned to coach youth basketball culminating in a championship season at the Lawrence Boys and Girls Club. Bill also attended and graduated from the University of Lowell, focusing on history and secondary education.Being the oldest of seven children, Bill was the typical oldest child - independent and self driven. After graduating college, Bill drove cross country by answering an ad in a magazine and settled in Thousand Oaks, CA for a couple of years. He later enjoyed several hitchhiking trips across the USA. Prior to embracing his love for being "On the Road" following one of his early heroes from another Massachusetts mill town, Jack Kerouac, Bill was very involved in coaching youth basketball at the Lawrence Boys and GIrls club where he was once named "Boy of the Year".Bill loved history. He shared this passion with hundreds of students over the years as a history teacher at Lawrence High School for 25 years before retiring several years ago. Although known as a "strict" teacher, students throughout the years came to know and respect him as a conscientious teacher who truly cared about them and their success. He knew their struggles but recognized their potential and worked tirelessly to have them recognize it as well. After retiring from Lawrence High School, Bill worked as a cook for Carleen's Coffee Shop. He also stayed sharp employing his keen sense of humor and cutting debating skills while working as a bartender for Hayes Tavern where he leaves behind many friends.Bill was also an avid reader and one of the most intellectually honest people to walk the earth. His sense of morals, ethics and justice were well developed and he always argued for the "common man". Bill also was an avid writer, both prose and poetry, influenced by such greats as Kerouac, Ginsburg, Burroughs, and Cassady. Earlier in life, Bill enjoyed works by Bradbury, Orwell and Hesse.Bill loved music, especially the blues. He co-owned and operated an alternative music store in Newburyport in the early 1980's. He maintained an extensive collection of all genres of music in a variety of forms; including an impressive collection of the one true medium of music - vinyl. Bill enjoyed running, riding his bike, and spending time at the beach. In his younger years, he was known to be a fairly decent body surfer and never hesitated to test his skills later on as well. Bill greatly enjoyed spending time with his siblings and nieces and nephews. Bill was famous for his early arrivals and silent Irish goodbyes at family gatherings - valuing big quality over limited quantity. His yearly Christmas gift, orange chocolate balls, to everyone will be sorely missed.Bill was predeceased by his parents, Daniel and Mary. She was a kind and caring woman with a giving spirit; she was very charitable, donated to St. Jude every month, and would always help others in need. Diane had a bright smile and lit up every room she walked in. She loved her family more than anything and enjoyed tea parties with her granddaughters. She was a very hard worker, provided for her family, and made goodies for her neighbors. In her free time, Diane took trips to the beach, sang karaoke, and played bingo. After high school she met and married her loving husband Walter and began to raise a family. She was very spiritual and sang in the choir, was a member of Bread and Roses, the Edgar Casey group and was into meditation. She loved to travel and made trips to Ireland and Aruba. Manchester - James W. McDonald, Jr., age 66, died unexpectedly on June 11, 2024, at his home.Born in Lawrence, MA, he was the son of the late James W. McDonald, Sr. and Lorena B. (Drescher) McDonald. He was raised and educated in North Andover, MA and was a graduate of North Andover High School, Class of 1976.Mr. McDonald worked for many years at Lucent Technologies in North Andover and then went on to work at his current employer, Invio Automation, Hudson, NH. Prior to his career at Lucent Technologies, he worked for Western Electric in North Andover as a technician.Jim was a kind hearted, devoted and loving father to his only daughter, Amy, who was his pride and joy. Jim loved old cars, collecting sports memorabilia and following the Red Sox, Patriots, Bruins and Celtics. North Andover - Leo Michael Donovan, age 98 passed into the loving arms of Jesus on Saturday, June 15, 2024. He was born and raised in Lawrence, Massachusetts, the youngest child of the late Elizabeth (Coughlin) and Michael Donovan, brother to the late Sister Mary Donovan SC and the late Margaret (Peggy) Hynes.Leo graduated from Lawrence High School in 1943 and enrolled in the United States Navy soon after. A veteran of battles in both Normandy and Iwo Jima, where he was wounded, he was a recipient of the Purple Heart and was honorably discharged in 1946. After returning home he started a career with the New England Telephone Co. that would span more than three decades. In 1957, he married Marguerite McGillan and together they raised two children, Daniel and MaryJean, in a home they built in North Andover and lived in for 54 years until they moved to Brightview in North Andover in 2015. Known for his fabulous sense of humor and love of an amusing story, Leo was a friend to many including his lifelong high school friends whom he spent many summer days with on the beaches of New Hampshire, fellow employees at NE Telephone, many steadfast and spirited North Andover couples and countless people at Brightview, including residents, staff and those who helped lovingly care for him in his last few years. His profound interest in and concern for others was his unique and God given gift. A man of great faith, he lived out an example of love, compassion and empathy in all of his interactions, whether with a beloved family member, close friend, cherished caretaker or even a stranger. Fueled by a genuine desire to bring joy, laughter and meaning to every encounter he had with others, he greeted all with a warm and infectious smile, a bit of hard earned wisdom and a genuine curiosity about their lives and those of their families. Leo's family was his greatest accomplishment and a source of immense delight, comfort and pride. Haverhill - Rita M. Muir, 84, of Haverhill passed away on Friday, June 14 at Anna Jacques Hospital in Newburyport.Rita was born in Panton, VT on July 3, 1939, the daughter of Howard L. and Marceline (Blake) Jerome. Rita was very outgoing; she loved traveling to Disney World and liked camping in upstate New York and going to yard sales. Very involved in her community, Rita helped start the Headstart Program in Haverhill and was proud of her Indian Abinaki heritage, enjoying dancing at pow wows and playing BINGO every weekend. Rita was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother who cherished her family.Rita is survived by her children Daniel R. Muir of Sandown, NH, Todd C. Haverhill - Daniel J. Chernesky, 88, husband of the late Lillian T. (Goudreault) German-Chernesky, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 13 at his home in Haverhill.Born in Haverhill on June 26, 1935, he was the son of the late Joseph and Rose (Kiarsis) Chernesky. Educated in Haverhill Public Schools, he was a graduate of Haverhill Trade School, Class of 1953. A Korean War Veteran, Daniel enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and was honorably discharged in 1958. He worked in the maintenance department of Northern Essex Community College for 31 years; he also enjoyed spending time following the stock market. Daniel will be remembered as a loving son, husband, brother and uncle by those he leaves behind.Daniel is survived by his brother Edward P. Chernesky and his wife Karen, and his sister Elinor J. Chernesky, all of Haverhill. Bradford - William John Klueber, 82 of Haverhill MA, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2024 at the North End Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Boston after a brief illness.Born in Haverhill on April 7, 1942, Bill was the beloved son of the late William and Rose (Casazza) Klueber. He graduated from the Haverhill Public schools and furthered his studies at Northern Essex Community College with an Associates Degree in Accounting. He was a member of their first graduating class in 1963. Bill served a career as Auditor/Finance Director for the City of Haverhill for 34 years before retiring July 2002. Bill liked to tell people he never went very far in life because his office in City Hall occupied the same space as his sophom*ore homeroom, back when city hall was Haverhill High School.Bill was predeceased by his loving wife Rosemary (Jaskelevicus) of 32 years. The two were well known throughout the city, supporting the many worthwhile causes in the city. In 2008 Bill and his wife were recognized as Distinguished Citizens by the Yankee Clipper Council and in 2012 they were honored with the Outstanding Alumni Award from NECC. He was also named a Paul Harris Fellow by the Haverhill Rotary Club.Bill supported numerous non-profit organizations throughout the city of Haverhill. He served as a Director on the Pentucket Bank Board for 43 years, a Treasurer/Director for the Wadleigh Foundation for over 30 years, Chairman/Board member of the Haverhill Retirement Board for 48 years, Past President and Treasurer for the Haverhill Rotary Club for 32 years, Trustee on the Haverhill Public Library for 16 years, Past President and member of the Northern Essex Alumni Board, a member of the Griffin White Board and a board member for Penacook Place.Bill and Rosemary enjoyed trips to Bermuda and often vacationed during the summer on Martha's Vineyard, Prouts Neck in Scarborough Maine or Jackson NH. One of their last trips together was up to York Maine, another favorite destination for them. They both enjoyed working in their backyard flower garden. Bill was instrumental in arranging for the City Hall Employee monument and flagpole that is outside of city hall on the Newcomb Street side of the building.Bill is survived by his fur babies Leo and Luna, his good friend and dining out companion Pamela Carr, Sister-in-law Valerie Jaskelevicus, nephew Stephen Jaskelevicus and his wife Monica, niece Valerie D'Urso and her husband Robert. Stuart - Richard Sheridan O'Hara, MD, was born in New York City, August 3, 1930, to Mabel and Thomas O'Hara.Raised in Pelham Manor, NY, he spent his professional life in Andover, MA, retiring to Osterville, MA and Palm City FL. Dick was involved in scouting, receiving the coveted Eagle Scout Award. At Pelham HS, he earned varsity letters in baseball, basketball, football, and known as "triple threat," for his running, passing and kicking proficiencies. Dick served as President for his 1948 HS class.Dick graduated summa cum laude (BS, Biology), from College of the Holy Cross (Worcester, MA,1952), receiving his MD degree from Harvard Medical School (Cambridge, MA,1956). He completed his general/vascular surgical residency at Case Western Reserve (Cleveland, OH), followed by two years active duty as Lieutenant Commander in the US Navy, Newport, RI., also serving as Block Island's visiting physician. He was honorably discharged in 1963.Dr. O'Hara cared for patients of the greater Merrimack Valley, co-founding Andover Surgical Associates, serving as Managing Partner for 31 years. He was senior staff surgeon at Lawrence General Hospital (Lawrence, MA), serving as Chief of the Medical Staff/Chief of Surgery, and senior staff surgeon at Holy Family Hospital (Methuen, MA).A passionate golfer, Dick achieved seven holes-in-one during his lifetime. He was two-time Club Champion at NACC (North Andover, MA), and member of: Andover CC (Andover, MA), Oyster Harbors Club (Osterville, MA), Harbour Ridge CC (Palm City FL), and Bay State Seniors Golf Association.Dick died peacefully at age 93, December 30, 2023, surrounded by loving family. He's survived by his beloved wife, Mary Ellen, and children, Carolyn (Michael) Shannon, Richard (Holly) O'Hara, Christopher (Elissa) O'Hara, Alyson (Hugh) Donlon, Sheridan O'Hara, Matthew (Kristen) O'Hara, Dwight O'Hara, James O'Hara. Andover - Robert "Bob" Nevers Cratty, 98, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 10, at Prescott House in North Andover. Robert was born in Patten, Maine on September 30, 1925, son of the late Bernard Cratty and Jayne Nevers Cratty. He attended Patten Academy and enlisted in the U.S. Army from 1943 to 1946. After serving his country, Bob attended the University of Maine under the G.I. Bill, majoring in Agriculture. Bob fell in love with Jeannine Fitzgerald, at a sweetheart dance and they married in 1949 and settled in Patten where he taught high school until 1952. Upon accepting a position with the Federal Land Bank, Bob moved his family to Springfield, Massachusetts until 1957 when he accepted a position with the Farm Credit Administration and moved his family to Morrisville, Vermont. In 1960, there would be one final move for Bob and his family to Andover, Massachusetts when he began a successful career with Blue Seal Feeds, Inc.(H.K. Webster Company) of Lawrence, Massachusetts as vice president of credit. Bob retired in 1990.Bob was a member of South Church in Andover for 61 years, teaching Sunday school and serving on many boards and committees throughout his active years. He loved a good sermon. Every night he read from a book of prayers he received when he was 18 years old that he kept on his bedside table. Bob loved working in his garden and digging in the dirt. As a young boy living in Aroostook County, Maine "potato country," he picked potatoes for pennies a barrel. Every year, Bob would sow his seeds and tend his garden for hours on end and reap the results of his hard work. Bob was a man of immense humor and wisdom, cherishing every moment spent with his loved ones telling stories. He loved telling a good joke and he'd laugh harder than anyone else.After the death of his wife, Jeannine in 1995, Bob found love again when he met Mary "Betty" Murray while attending a local swing dance. Bob and Betty danced and traveled and shared a life together, lasting more than two decades, enjoying life well into their retirement years.Bob's life will forever be cherished in the lives of his children: Barry Cratty and his wife, Norma of Andover, Cynthia Slauter and her husband, Steven of Katy, TX; his grandchildren: Jeff Cratty and his wife, Kimberly of Andover, Daniel Cratty and his wife, Marjan of Andover, Emily Cratty Dunn and her husband, Rob of Methuen, Stephanie Slauter Steudel and her husband, Zachary of Springtown, TX, and Samantha Slauter of Katy TX; his great-grandchildren: Sophia, Miles, Henry, Caroline, Lorelai, Maximilian, Vivienne, and Bennett; and his long-time companion, Mary Murray of Nashua, NH.Bob is predeceased by his wife, Jeannine Fitzgerald Cratty, his son, William Cratty, and his older brother Arthur Cratty.There will be a memorial gathering at Conte Funeral Home, 28 Florence Street in Andover on Thursday, June 20 from 4 to 7 p.m. A Celebration of Life will be held at South Church, 41 Central Street in Andover on Friday, June 21 at 11 a.m.The family wishes to extend sincere thanks and gratitude to Mary "Betty" Murray for her unending love and devotion; and the staff at Atria Marland Place in Andover and Prescott House in North Andover, for their loving care.
